Tony McManus Workshop
Here is a rare opportunity for guitarists (and other instrumentalists) of all skill levels - Celtic guitar giant Tony McManus will present instruction on the alternate tuning used throughout Celtic music, DADGAD, and on Celtic guitar in general, especially accompaniment. These basics can be used equally well not only by guitarists, but also others interested in accompanying Celtic music. Tony has performed globally at renowned guitar-specific and Celtic festivals, such as the Chet Atkins Guitar fest in Nashville, the Ellnora Guitar Fest in IL, the Celtic Connections Festival in the UK, and Celtic Colours in Canada. He is not only a whiz on Celtic guitar, but is also indecently talented in other genres such as classical and jazz!
“Tony McManus is the best Celtic guitarist in the world.” - the late John Renbourn of Pentangle
“Tony’s music is beyond beautiful, it’s perfect.” - Tommy Emmanuel
”Tony McManus is the Jeff Beck of the acoustic guitar.” - Paul Reed Smith, PRS Guitars
