Contra Dancing
Black Rose members Danna Moore, Chuck Tobin, and Bill Schmitz and his daughter Paula Nolen are in a band called “Blueberry Hill,” and often play at a local contra dance put on by Pikes Peak Traditional Dance (PPTD).
When: First Sundays, 2:00 - 4:30 pm - with beginning lessons at 1:30 pm
Cost: $10 adults, $5 students, and children under 13 free with a paying adult.
Instruction for newbies begins at 1:30 pm
No partner needed and no special dress.
Bring a snack to share if you like, but please no peanut products!

Contra Dance Showcase
In most months with 5th Wednesdays, there is a donation-based contra dance at the Buffalo Lodge led by Reid Miller, caller and teacher for PPTD, and live music by area oldtime dance-tune musicians including many Black Rose members.
When: Wed., Oct. 29th from 5:30-8:00 pm
No experience needed
Partners provided
Instruction provided beginning at 5:30 pm
Suggested donation: $10-$15
Watching and listening are free
Casual clothes and comfy shoes are recommended
Refreshments available, snacks for sharing are welcome
