Contra Dancing
Black Rose members Danna Moore, Chuck Tobin, and Bill Schmitz and his daughter Paula Nolen are in a band called “Blueberry Hill,” and often play at a local contra dance put on by Pikes Peak Traditional Dance (PPTD).
When: First Sundays, 2:00 - 4:30 pm - with beginning lessons at 1:30 pm
Cost: $10 adults, $5 students, and children under 13 free with a paying adult.
Instruction for newbies begins at 1:30 pm
No partner needed and no special dress.
Bring a snack to share if you like, but please no peanut products!

Contra Dance Showcase
In most months with 5th Wednesdays, there is a donation-based contra dance at the Buffalo Lodge led by Reid Miller, caller and teacher for PPTD.
When: Wed., July 30th from 6:00-8:00 pm

Instruction provided beginning at 5:30
Suggested donation: $10-$15/adults, $5/students, 11 & under free.
Watching and listening are free

Pre-Concert Contra Dance
On Friday July 25th, we will be having a contra dance before our Friday night concert at the pavilion just across the parking lot from the Black Forest Community Center. This dance will also be led by Reid Miller, caller and teacher for PPTD:
