The Wayne Wilkinson Trio performs a mix of straight-ahead and traditional jazz standards, American songbook fan favorites, innovative jazz arrangements of classic western swing, Americana, folk, and roots music, chart toppers, and inspired original compositions.
Wayne is known for his high-octane melodic playing, which world-renowned jazz trombonist Bill Watrous said “is the greatest guitar playing I’ve ever heard.” He works with other trios, quartets, and small groups and performs as a featured/guest artist with various musicians. He has played at the White House, Carnegie Hall, and at major jazz and music festivals with the renowned premier Air Force Jazz Ensembles, The Airmen of Note in Washington, D.C., and the Falconaires in Colorado Springs. He is also a faculty member at the nationally accredited Colorado Springs Conservatory, where he helped establish the jazz program.
Wayne’s latest CD, ‘Holly Tunes,’ is his ninth independent label recording.
Andy Burtschi has worked as a professional bassist for over twenty years in Dallas, Memphis, Nashville, Central Illinois, and Colorado Springs. He studied music at the University of Evansville and at the University of North Texas, has taught as an adjunct at Millikin University from 1998 to 2008, and is currently on the faculty of the Colorado Springs Conservatory. An in-demand bassist with extensive studio and live experience in a wide array of musical styles, he enjoys a full playing schedule with many fine musicians
Drummer Scott M. Barbier is a native of Colorado Springs and has played in numerous top musical organizations throughout the Pikes Peak region. Soon after graduation from Air Academy High School, Scott “followed in his father’s footsteps,” joining the United States Air Force Academy Band, where he spent the next 30 years performing worldwide with the highly acclaimed premier military band.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m.; the concert begins at 7:00 p.m. with two opening acts. $15 general admission, $8 members and students with ID; free for ages 12 and younger (become a member before or at the show and $tart $aving right away!). Music jam in front of the concert hall from 5:00-6:30, open to all.
