Beginning Blues Guitar Soloing

Time: Wednesday 7:15-8:15 pm beginning Oct. 1st

Location: The downtown Meeker Music store, 624 N. Tejon St. Park in back of store off the alley in the Meeker lot and wait for the 6:00 class to let out at 7:00 and enter as others are leaving before the door closes and locks. If arriving after 7:00 and the door is shut, please ring the doorbell - if you ring it before 7:00 you will disturb the previous class.

Description: In this class we will teach you the basic skills necessary to create your own solos over a basic blues chord progression. We will be learning the major and minor pentatonic scales and how to use them rhythmically and musically incorporating techniques such as hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, and bends. If you’ve been wanting to get away from tab and really learn how improvise, then this is the course for you!

Prerequisites: Ability to play basic guitar chords
