Description: If you’ve been wanting to go to the Swing Jam but are intimidated by all those fancy chords and upbeat rhythm, then this is the course for you. You will learn the proper right-hand “la pompe” technique, left-hand muting, and 7 closed-position moveable chord shapes that will allow you to play any swing song, no matter how complicated. We’ll also get into a little chord substitution theory to help you recognize chord patterns when learning new songs and change the chords to ones that you know. This is a course in rhythm only. Leads will not be taught.
