An Acoustic/Celtic/Folk Duo
Troubadour has played/sung in the Colorado Springs area
since February, 1990.

Recent Venues: Larkspur (Colorado Renaissance Festival for 10 years), Cripple Creek and Monument (PAYO), Walsenburg and Florence (Veteran's Homes), Lakewood (Irish Festival), Woodland Park (Mountain Arts Festival), Manitou Springs (Mountain Music and Commonwheel Artist Festivals), Palmer Lake (Story Telling Festival), Black Forrest (Black Rose Acoustic Society), and Colorado Springs (First Night Pikes Peak for 6 years, Senior Centers, Schools, Coffee Houses and Restaurants, Corporate and Private Events).

Their trained voices combine close-harmony vocals with guitars, banjo, recorders, and percussion. They have a widely varied repertoire, including 60's/Folk, Celtic and American Traditional, Show Tunes and Originals.

They have a full sound system, or can work acoustically.

Beezy Taylor is a professional music teacher and musician in Colorado Springs. Originally from New York City, she obtained her classical music education there then moved to Colorado Springs in 1964. She met Don in 1984 as his music teacher. Beezy handles the business aspects of Troubadour.

Don Johnson is from Denver. Here in Colorado Springs he manages a Trophy Shop. His favorite pastime is distance running; Don is very active in the local running club. For over a decade, Don has been a professional musician in Colorado Springs. He also handles the acoustics, logistics and transportation for Troubadour.

Troubadour's recent activities included:

  • Celtic Concert with storyteller John Stansfield

  • Release of newest CD "American Memories" (3/2000)

  • Appearing for the fourth time as the "Feature Creature" at the Black Rose Acoustic Society Open Stage. (4/2000)

  • Festivals: Colorado Renaissance Festival (10 years in Larkspur Colorado), Irish Festival (Lakewood), Mountain Music Festival and Commonwheel Artists Fair (Manitou Springs), First Night Pikes Peak (6 years in Colorado Springs)

  • Weekly & monthly performances at retirement and nursing homes and monthly at Wooglin's Deli

  • Folk, Celtic, and Renaissance shows for local schools.

  • Included on the Black Rose Acoustic Society Sampler 2000 CD
