Trained Suzuki violin instructor. I teach violin and fiddle to all
ages, and recommend the Suzuki method for starting young students
because students learn to play by ear, using good technique, and
concurrently learn to read music. Adults often learn using Suzuki as
well. I start students as young as 4.5 years old.

The
Peak
Performance Voice Studio was founded July, 2006 in Monument,
Colorado. The studio is 25 minutes from downtown Colorado
Springs and 45 minutes from south Denver. Currently, 32 students
have studied through the studio. Previously I was professor of
voice and the head of the vocal jazz program at Scottsdale
Community College (Scottsdale, AZ) the nation's largest
community college system. I also taught private voice and choral
music at the University of Nebraska and Lincoln Public Schools
(K-9) in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Vocal performance is my
passion. I have had supporting & leading roles in over 35 music
productions in both opera and musical theatre genres. Many of
those roles have been acknowledged by nominations & awards for
acting/singing in both NE and AZ. While in AZ, I developed and
performed with a jazz quartet. This group was featured at Sedona
Jazz On the Rocks in December of 2005. I was also a Master
Teacher for the same organization. I belong to the National
Association of Teachers of Singing, which sponsors regional and
national voice competitions.
I have the capability to
record CD's in my studio which may be used as archival studies
of vocal growth and/or demos. Accompanying students on piano and
recording lessons to CD is included in the cost. Please visit my
web site at
web.mac.com/peakperformancevoice for more in-depth
information.

I've been playing guitars, bass, keyboards, drums
and singing for over twenty years. I started playing
professionally at age fifteen. I've been in many
original bands of many styles, with lots of stage
and recording experience.
My approach with students is to work from their
strengths, while offering support, encouragement and
solid methods to help them overcome their
challenges. Everybody learns differently, and I
respect that in my instruction.
I work well with beginners and intermediate players
of all ages; I'm patient and attentive to the
student's needs and aspirations.
I'm available full-time, so call for openings.
