Phil Volan and Joleen Bell play beautifully crafted compositions for fingerstyle guitar and vocals. The duo began in 2003 with a mutual love of acoustic music, and a rich musical past. Depending on the venue, they will perform as a duo, or with accompaniment by Charlie Hall (upright bass/vocals), and/or Steve Hoke (multi-instrumentalist) at concerts, conventions, festivals, churches, restaurants, and the always-loved house concert. Joleen Bell
In addition to acoustic
fingerstyle guitar, Joleen plays several instruments including
banjo and lap dulcimer. She has a B.A. in music from Naropa
University, Boulder, CO. Joleen has released two CDs. "Dancing Naked," is a collection of her original songs with accompaniment by cellist Hanna Alkire of
"The Two Dreamers," is an all-original collaboration with Tom Simms. |
