Colorado Roots Music Camp, June 1-7, 2008 |
|
Colorado Roots Music Camp
- June 1- June 7, 2008 on the west side of Pikes Peak in Divide, Colorado.
It’s an unforgettable six days of bluegrass, folk, blues, swing, jazz,
Irish, flatpicked and fingerstyle guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass,
singing, learning and fun! Break out of your routine and be inspired by a
variety of styles, first-rate musicians, and the incredible experience of
being immersed in acoustic music.
Our instructors were
specifically chosen for their ability to teach. Not only are they terrific
players, but they are also known by peers and students as great instructors.
Class sizes are small (less than 9-to-1 student to teacher ratio), so you’ll
be sure to get plenty of individual attention. In addition to classes at all
levels from beginner to advanced, there will be seminars, master classes,
concerts, and lots of jamming!
Our instructors include
Cary Black, David Coe, Julie Davis, Randy Elmore, Dave Firestine, Charlie
Hall, Gerald Jones, Pat Kirtley, Tim May, Carol McComb, Raul Reynoso, Doug
Smith and more. It’s held at the Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp, surrounded
by spruce, pine and aspen forest, beautiful red rock formations, and premier
hiking trails. $625 includes everything--instruction, concerts, food,
lodging, seminars, jams and all events. Children must be accompanied by an
adult. For more information, go to
www.coloradorootsmusic.com , email
info@coloradorootsmusic.com or call 719-632-7872. |

North Fork
Bluegrass & Roots Music Camp, June 9-12, 2008 |
|
North
Fork Bluegrass & Roots Music Jam Camp, Hotchkiss, Colorado
The North Fork Bluegrass & Roots Music Jam Camp is for closet pickers to
gain confidence playing music and singing with others in a festival camping
environment. Camp focus is on bluegrass, blues, & folk styles of acoustic
music and offers instrument workshops, faculty performances, and
opportunities to meet, greet and pick with new and old friends. Bring your
guitar, fiddle, mando, banjo or bass. It's laid back, & low key, and
everyone pitches in to make this a good time. This year, Jam Camp takes
place in the days preceding the Festival - so stay and play!
