I have a number of reasons why I love being involved with Black Rose, just one of which is our connection to our community. We try to help out others in the Pikes Peak Region. As of this writing, we are proud to be a sponsor of the Special Kids Special Families Gala Fundraiser to be held on October 22.
To usher in the holiday season on December 9th we're holding our holiday potluck in addition to bringing back the wonderfully talented Acoustic Eidolon for an intimate concert at the Black Forest Community Center. Be sure and mark your calendar and buy some tickets for a wonderful night of acoustic music, good food and friends.
On February 11, 2012 at the Black Forest Community Center we will be presenting Tom Rush as our Thanks to the Members Concert. Our Thanks to the Members Concert had to be postponed until after the New Year. We were sorry to have to do this but we wanted to ensure that we gave our members a concert. Our original plans for the concert did not come to fruition as we would have liked or as quickly as we would have liked. One perk to holding the show in February is that our members can get two TTM concerts in one year. After all, we will still have host a TTM concert for 2012 next year. We had a good year of great events, classes and talented musicians. We look forward to 2012 and more excellent music, good friends and new projects. At the Rose we're looking into grant funding for the coming year and we're excited about the possibilities of what that will bring.
As always Black Rose can use your help. We're always looking for volunteers. If you don't have the time to give, consider a donation. Black Rose can always use your support.
See you at the Rose,
Joanna Springer, President
