At Black Rose we rely on volunteers to accomplish all that we do. Everyone is a volunteer here, even the board members. For example, while everyone who attends a Black Rose event sees the volunteers who keep the kitchen running or set up the stage and chairs there are still volunteers working behind the scenes. Many people do not realize anytime they call Black Rose to order tickets over the phone, the person who is taking their order is volun- teering their time and their personal phone number for the task. Our Jam Leader volunteers his time to keep the Black Rose Jams running smoothly. We have a volunteer who edits our newsletter, another who edits our website and a third who updates our Facebook page. In short, despite all of these wonderful volunteers we are still in need of more. Black Rose needs assistance in specific areas:
• Grant writing - The Black Rose Acoustic Society is going to start applying for grant funding and we are in need of a volunteer who is willing to help with this process.
• Photographers –Volunteers are needed to take photos at all Black Rose events. Currently we need a couple more photographers who are willing to come to the Black Rose Open Stages and Special Concerts to take pictures. All that is required is for the volunteer to have their own camera and be able to email the photos to our newsletter editor.
• Kitchen Rose Volunteers -Volunteers are needed to help keep the kitchen running during Black Rose Open Stage and Special Concerts at the Black Forest Community Center. This includes setting up at the start of the evening and breaking down the kitchen when the intermission is over.
• Jam Leaders – We need another volunteer musician who is willing to lead a jam. We currently have one, very hard working Jam Leader who could use some relief.
