CRAS Update
by Elaine Schuhrke

As we move into fall we have a great line up at Cañon Rose Acoustic Society. September and October in Cañon City finds most of the tourists gone, but all of the local attractions like the Royal Gorge, and the Royal Gorge Dinner Train still open for visitors. The little town of Florence sports many antique shops and art galleries of local artists. And the weather is cooler too. Come spend the day in Cañon City or Florence, have some dinner and finish your evening with the good music we’ll be featuring the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Doors open at 6:45, show starts at 7:30. $5 General Admission, $3 CRAS members.

Cañon Rose Acoustic Society meets at the Four Mile Community Club in Cañon City, Colorado. Call Elaine at 719- 269-1887 for more information.

To find us, drive south out of Colorado Springs on Colorado Hwy 115 to Penrose (about 35 miles). Turn west (right) on US 50 and drive about 13-14 miles into Cañon City to Dozier Avenue (the second stop light). Turn south (left) at the traffic light at Dozier. Immediately turn east (left) on East Main Street (It's like a frontage road.), one block to Steinmeyer. Turn right (south) on Steinmeyer. On the right will be an old red schoolhouse. The driveway directly after this leads to a cream colored building behind the schoolhouse. This is the Four Mile Community Center. We’ll all be there to greet you when you come!

See Ya Soon !
