The Cañon Rose Acoustic Society has had a great season. The Mitguards and Jim & Jeannie Martin  brought a great variety of music to a packed house on February 9. Sugarfoot is one of our local favorites. They entertained a packed house February 23. It was great to have the Howard Cattle Company back at the Rose on March 8. Once again, we had a packed house. I was sure happy to finally get them back.  The Yampa Valley Boys put on a great show March 22. If you haven’t heard these guys, you don’t know what you’re missing. Our Cañon Rose crowd wants them back every year. They’re real crowd pleasers!

Well, we’re down to 3 shows left for the season. April 12, our feature act is Palmer Divide. Jacqui Gipson is our feature act for April 26. The great finale for the season is a real favorite wherever they perform, Dakota Blonde. They will be at the Cañon Rose May 10. We’re looking forward to our last 3 shows. We have had super talent all season & appreciate all of the opening acts. They have all been great. Thank you to all of the Feature Acts, also. It seems our shows are getting better & better, thanks to all of the fine talent.

We will shut down May 10 and open back up September 13 with Gobs O’ Phun. This gives all of the workers a chance to see their favorite Bluegrass artists. It’s nice to have the summer off to go to all of the Bluegrass Festivals. Thanks to all of the dedicated workers for another great season! A very special thanks to our audience, we love you all! Thanks to everyone who has allowed me to be the Cañon Rose booking agent. I love the job!
